I like using animals as my subject matter because I value the relationships between humans and animals. This appreciation comes from the animal companions I have had in my life and my previous career as a certified vet tech in veterinary medicine.
I feel that with all the use of modern technology we are losing our compassion and ability to connect with other living, breathing animals - including people.
